Description:   The episode explores the dark history of the European witch hunts, which occurred from the 15th to the 18th century. Thousands of people, primarily women, were accused of practicing witchcraft and subjected to trials, torture, and execution. The witch trials were fueled by fear, superstition, and religious extremism. The Catholic Church held immense power and influence during this time, and the fear of the supernatural was deeply ingrained in society. Accusations of witchcraft were often used for societal control and to suppress dissenting religions or cultural practices. The episode highlights the parallels between the historical persecution of women during the witch trials and the ongoing challenges faced by women today in the fight for gender equality.
